The Detroit Lions will square off against the San Francisco 49ers at Levi's Stadium on Monday Night Football in Week 17. Detroit is 13-2 on the year and will be looking to notch their 14th victory of the season over San Francisco in a rematch of the 2023 NFC Championship Game. Though every game in the NFL holds some type of value, Monday's showdown versus the 49ers holds little meaning for the Lions. With the Minnesota Vikings' victory over the Green Bay Packers , Detroit will not be able to clinch the NFC North and the No.1 seed in the NFC versus the 49ers. The Lions will host the Vikings in Week 18 at Ford Field, and the winner of that game will take home the division crown and the top seed in the conference, which includes a first-round bye and home-field advantage throughout the postseason. The loser of next week's contest versus Detroit and Minnesota will be the No.5 seed in the NFC and will play a road playoff game in Round 1 of the playoffs. With Monday Night's game being insignificant for the Lions and their chase for the division and No.1 seed, many fans have been calling for the team to rest their starters in Week 17. The Lions game tomorrow is irrelevant now They should rest their starters There is no reason to play the starters tomorrow if you are the Lions. Rest up and get ready for next week. Lions should rest ALL their starters for tomorrow's game. Rest starters tomorrow night? Lions need to rest their starters tomorrow. Though many fans want Detroit to rest their starters on Monday Night, head coach Dan Campbell spoke to the media about the possibility during a press conference on Monday, Dec.23, and Campbell made his stance on the issue clear. "I'll make this easy for everybody that way all the critics can jump out and start attacking, but that way you don't have to debate them anymore," Campbell said. "We're bringing everything we got to this game and we are playing, I don't care what it looks like and where it's at and who's this, who's that. We're going out to play and win this game, out on the West Coast. So there you go." Going off what Campbell said earlier in the week, it seems the Lions will play their starters versus the 49ers and try to secure a win in San Francisco. They are introducing apps for submitting classwork and taking online tests as well. South City International School is allowing children to attend live classes if they are not in the city or country, or if there is an emergency. Principal Satabdi Bhattacharjee said, "Earlier, if children had emergencies, including health and family-related matters, they had no other option choice but to miss classes. So, we decided to provide online support that allows them to attend classes along with other students. They can communicate during classes, ask questions to the teachers, and experience the classroom atmosphere while away from the school." From this year, South City International has introduced online admission tests for different classes. Conducting exams, interactions, and publishing results are all done online. "There are many students from outside the city who wanted to take exams but could not because they were unable to attend physically. So, we made it more flexible through our online platform, and several students from outside Bengal were able to participate," Bhattacharjee said. There are several other schools in and around the city are using digital platforms if a child misses classes. Ashok Hall Girls' Higher Secondary School, GD Birla Centre for Education, and Mahadevi Birla Shishu Vihar have introduced mobile applications to provide class assignments, homework, performance updates, and real-time attendance updates. GD Birla Centre for Education principal Craig Lucas said, "The new website is designed to be more informative, illustrative, and interactive, while our ERP will facilitate better communication, accurate information, and a closer connection between our parents and the school team of teachers and leaders. The changing times demand that we reimagine, reinvent, and redefine the way we transact education. Students will get all the class updates even if they are not in the classroom and will receive details of homework even if they miss attending classes for some reason. Everything will be uploaded immediately after classes are over. Parents can monitor their wards while they are in school through technological support." Ashok Hall Higher Secondary School's principal Atreyee Sengupta emphasised that these tools enhance collaboration and streamline communication for a brighter future.
COSTCO is known for its large quantities and bargain pricing but there are some hidden details which can save you even more money. A shopper revealed what to look out for the next time you visit the wholesale shop. In her viral video , TikTok user Shivani Khosla ( @khoslaa ) took her followers along as she explored her local Costco. As she walked through the shop, she revealed "the secrets that Costco don’t want you to know." Shivani began by discussing the shop's popular and budget-friendly rotisserie chickens. She pointed out that the ready-to-eat chickens, which retail for just £3.99, are always located at the back of the shop. According to the TikToker, this layout design meant that shoppers picked up more items than they had originally planned. She guessed that this allowed the shop to keep their prices so low. Shivani admitted that the technique has worked on her as she has been convinced to spontaneously buy items because of their discounted prices. She also discussed the hidden details to look out for on the price signs. "Anything ending in '.99' is the regular price, anything that ends in '.97' means it’s on clearance," the TikToker explained. "And if you see anything with an asterisk at the top, this means that it is the last time it’ll be on sale." Shivani clarified that this symbol "basically means they won't sell it again soon." She added that Costco also frequently change the layout of their shops. This means that shoppers always have to browse the aisles to find anything on their list. She pointed out that the average time spent in Costco is 38, approximately 10 minutes more than most other shops. TikTok users shared their thoughts on the insights in the comments section. Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how you can save hundreds of pounds a year: Odd boxes - plenty of retailers offer slightly misshapen fruit and veg or surplus food at a discounted price. Lidl sells five kilos of fruit and veg for just £1.50 through its Waste Not scheme while Aldi shoppers can get Too Good to Go bags which contain £10 worth of all kinds of products for £3.30. Sainsbury's also sells £2 "Taste Me, Don't Waste Me" fruit and veg boxes to help shoppers reduced food waste and save cash. Food waste apps - food waste apps work by helping shops, cafes, restaurants and other businesses shift stock that is due to go out of date and passing it on to members of the public. Some of the most notable ones include Too Good to Go and Olio. Too Good to Go's app is free to sign up to and is used by millions of people across the UK, letting users buy food at a discount. Olio works similarly, except users can collect both food and other household items for free from neighbours and businesses. Yellow sticker bargains - yellow sticker bargains, sometimes orange and red in certain supermarkets, are a great way of getting food on the cheap. But what time to head out to get the best deals varies depending on the retailer. You can see the best times for each supermarket here. Super cheap bargains - sign up to bargain hunter Facebook groups like Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK where shoppers regularly post hauls they've found on the cheap, including food finds. "Downshift" - you will almost always save money going for a supermarket's own-brand economy lines rather than premium brands. The move to lower-tier ranges, also known as "downshifting" and hailed by consumer expert Martin Lewis, could save you hundreds of pounds a year on your food shop. "My biggest flex is I once spent 14 minutes in Costco. I went in, picked up my son’s cake, paid, and left," wrote one viewer. " If the price is highlighted then it's heavily reduced. You often see it in the fruit and vegetable section but you can see it in some of the other food sections ," shared another shopper. "These are correct, good spot on the inactive and active star signs," commented a third person. "Stock merchandising, all big stores will do this," said another follower. "[They] move their stock around. It's to stop customers sleep buying because they know where everything is. Doing this they get lured to other products."
Rúben Amorim has said he expects to have the final say on Manchester United transfers despite being handed the title of head coach at Old Trafford rather than manager. Amorim arrived from Sporting CP as part of a revamped structure at the club, which includes sporting director Dan Ashworth and technical director Jason Wilcox. Speaking at his first United news conference on Friday, Amorim insisted it is vital that he signs off any additions and departures. "Everybody has to work together and for that we have to improve the process of recruitment, the data, the profile of players we want," Amorim said. "But I have to have a strong position on that because I am the coach. I know how to play, so I think it's all together but the final word should be the manager. "Not just because it's your right but your responsibility. Because, in the end, the result is to me, so I think it's all together to improve the process of recruitment. "I have a great responsibility when we choose players because this is something that should be done this way. I'm the manager, the head coach, so I have to choose the players." Amorim smiled throughout his first meeting with the media since accepting United's offer and looked relaxed ahead of his first game against Ipswich Town on Sunday. He said that he has "belief" in the players he's inherited despite the team sitting 13th in the Premier League table. However, he accepted that maybe the players have lost belief in themselves after a difficult start to the season under Ten Hag. "That's for sure but this is normal in every team," he said. "When you don't win games, you start to be suspicious of the way of playing. You can understand when they walk to the game or the warm up, you can feel if they are confident or not, so that is a normal thing. "I think I have to help them to feel that. It will take time but they are ready to cope with the demands of the Premier League because they have proved that. "You can see even this year and last year sometimes they have a bad first half and then in the second half without any tactical change, they will turn up and change things. They have to find the mindset to play this way through all the game."Through her videos, Wu Liufang has not only entertained and inspired her fans but also served as a role model for aspiring creators everywhere. Nvidia 's ( NVDA 3.08% ) stock has been a huge winner each of the past two years. After surging over 238% in 2023, the stock has soared approximately 164% this year, as of this writing. Those are two huge back-to-back year gains that have propelled the company to become one of the largest in the world. The question is, can the stock hit the market with a three-peat of outsized gains in 2025? Interestingly, the stock has been able to generate returns of 30% or more for three straight years on four previous occasions and returns of 50% or greater for three straight years twice. It has never had four years in a row of 30% or more returns, but it did have one stretch where its stock rose by 25% or more for five straight years from 2013 to 2017. Let's look at why I think Nvidia can turn in another year of strong performance in 2025. Insane demand for AI chips Any investment in Nvidia centers around spending on artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure. The graphics processing units (GPUs) that it designs have become the backbone of the AI infrastructure buildout, as GPUs can perform many calculations at the same time, making them ideal for use in training large language models (LLMs) and running AI inference . Meanwhile, as AI models become more sophisticated, they need exponentially more computing power, and thus GPUs, to advance. For example, both Amazon 's Llama 4 LLM and xAI's Grok 3 model were trained on 10 times as many GPUs as their predecessors trained on. Demand for GPUs is being driven by large hyperscale (companies with massive data centers) tech companies (such as Microsoft , Alphabet , Amazon, and Meta Platforms ) as well as well-funded AI start-ups like OpenAI and Elon-Musk backed xAI. Currently, these companies are all racing to create the best and most powerful AI models, leading to what Nvidia has called "insane" demand for its newest-generation Blackwell GPUs. However, growth is not expected to stop, with Nvidia's largest customers, by and large, indicating that they plan to spend more on building out data centers to help power their AI ambitions. Nvidia customers such as Meta Platforms and Alphabet have said the biggest risk with AI infrastructure is underinvesting, as they look to capitalize on what they see as a generational opportunity. Oracle , meanwhile, has said it expects strong AI infrastructure growth to continue over the next five to 10 years. A wide moat Nvidia isn't the only company that makes GPUs, but it has been able to create a wide moat in large part due its CUDA software platform. GPUs were originally developed to speed up graphics rendering (hence the name) in applications like video games. However, as Nvidia looked to expand the use case for these chips, it created a free software program that allowed developers to program its chips for other tasks. While it took time, this led to CUDA becoming the standard on which developers learned to program GPUs for various tasks, creating the wide moat it has today. Meanwhile, it was arguably the use of its GPUs in cryptocurrency mining that really helped set the groundwork for Nvidia's current AI success today, as it demonstrated the power of its GPUs in high-performance computing. Nvidia has not sat still following its initial CUDA development and in the years since it has built domain-specific microservices and libraries on top of Cuda, called CUDA X, to better optimize it for AI. Meanwhile, the company has also sped up its development cycle for its GPUs to once a year in order to remain at the forefront of GPU technology. The company's biggest challenge at the moment appears to be coming from custom AI chips, such as those Broadcom helps develop for customers. These are custom chips designed for very specific tasks, and thus they can be more efficient. However, it also takes time to design and manufacture custom chips, and like most custom things, they are more expensive. In a world racing for AI, Nvidia's chips are more accessible and cheaper and have an array of AI-specific microservices and libraries through CUDA X. As such, while custom AI chips will likely continue to take some share, Nvidia still looks like it will remain the king of AI chips for the foreseeable future. Inexpensive valuation The final reason why I think Nvidia is poised for another year of outperformance in 2025 is its valuation. Despite its huge gains over the past two years, the stock only trades a forward price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of about 30 based on 2025 analyst estimates, and a price/earnings-to-growth ( PEG ) ratio of approximately 0.95. A PEG ratio under 1 is typically viewed as undervalued, but growth stocks will often have PEG ratios well above 1. Data by YCharts. For a company that just saw its revenue grow by 94% year over year last quarter and which is projected to see 50% revenue growth in 2025, that's an attractive valuation. With AI looking to be still in its early innings and the company having a wide moat, the stock looks like a buy heading into 2025.Bizman files defamation case against KTR
The fallout from the incident has been swift and severe. Sources within the club have revealed that Lewandowski has been increasingly isolated in the dressing room, with his relationship with the rest of the squad deteriorating rapidly. The once-united team now finds itself divided, with factions forming around the conflicting personalities and egos that have driven a wedge between them.
As society continues to evolve and push for greater inclusivity and respect, incidents like these serve as a wake-up call for everyone to reflect on their own attitudes and behaviors. No one is above scrutiny, and it is essential that we hold individuals accountable for their words and actions, especially when they perpetuate harmful ideologies that have no place in a modern, progressive society. The shooting took place on a busy intersection in the heart of the city during rush hour. Witnesses described a scene of chaos and panic as shots rang out, sending bystanders scrambling for cover. The assailant, later identified as a disgruntled former employee of Liberty Insurance Group, reportedly approached Smith on the street and opened fire without warning before fleeing the scene on foot.
