Speculation about a potential transfer has been rife, with some reports suggesting that the club could be open to selling the forward in order to generate funds for new signings. However, recent reports from the English media have indicated that no discussions have taken place regarding Rashford's potential departure.
Another effective policy measure is to establish job matching services and career counseling specifically geared towards assisting older workers. These services can help older individuals identify job opportunities that align with their skills, experiences, and preferences. By leveraging technology and data analytics, job matching platforms can match older workers with suitable job positions based on their qualifications and interests. Career counseling services can also provide personalized guidance and support to help older workers navigate the job market, explore different career paths, and make informed decisions about their employment prospects. Furthermore, collaborating with employers to create age-inclusive recruitment practices and job listings can help reduce age discrimination and increase the visibility of job opportunities for older workers.

SAND SPRINGS, Okla. , Dec. 2, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Webco Industries, Inc. WEBC today reported results for our first quarter of fiscal year 2025, which ended October 31, 2024 . For our first quarter of fiscal year 2025, we had a net loss of $0.1 million , or a loss of $0.13 per diluted share, while in our first quarter of fiscal year 2024, we had net income of $5.1 million , or $6.25 per diluted share. Net sales for the first quarter of fiscal 2025 were $141.4 million , a 10.4 percent decrease from the $157.8 million of sales in the first quarter of fiscal year 2024. Dana S. Weber , Chief Executive Officer and Board Chair, stated, "The domestic manufacturing economy has been worsening over the past year. Further, we have certain markets that are being adversely impacted by foreign imports. We continue to focus on positioning Webco for various economic environments and opportunities by maintaining a strong balance sheet and good liquidity and making compelling investments in our business. Our total cash, short-term investments and available credit on our revolver were $89.0 million at October 31, 2024 , which we believe to be a competitive advantage." In the first quarter of fiscal year 2025, we had income from operations of $1.1 million after depreciation of $4.7 million . The first fiscal quarter of the prior year generated income from operations of $8.0 million after depreciation of $3.7 million . Gross profit for the first quarter of fiscal 2025 was $13.6 million , or 9.7 percent of net sales, compared to $21.6 million , or 13.7 percent of net sales, for the first quarter of fiscal year 2024. Selling, general and administrative expenses were $12.6 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2025 and $13.6 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2024. SG&A expenses in the first quarter of fiscal year 2025 reflect a decrease in costs related to lower profitability, such as company-wide incentive compensation and variable pay programs, offset by inflation we have experienced in wages and other expenses. Interest expense was $1.2 million in the first quarter of fiscal year 2025 and $1.3 million in the same quarter of fiscal year 2024. Average construction-based investments decreased in fiscal year 2025 and, as a result, capitalized interest decreased $0.2 million when compared to the first quarter of fiscal year 2024. Capitalized interest decreases net interest expense in the consolidated statement of operations. Notwithstanding capitalized interest, the impact of increased interest rates was more than offset by lower average debt balances. Capital expenditures incurred amounted to $5.1 million in the first quarter of fiscal year 2025, down from $10.1 in the first quarter of fiscal year 2024. Included in our capital spending for the first quarter of fiscal year 2024 was construction of our F. William Weber Leadership Campus, which houses our Tech Center and corporate headquarters. The Tech Center, which is the tip of the spear that leads Webco's trusted and technical brand throughout our industry, was completed in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2024. As of October 31, 2024 , we had $18.6 million in cash and short-term investments, in addition to $70.4 million of available borrowing under our $220 million senior revolving credit facility. Availability on the revolver, which had $44.0 million drawn at October 31, 2024 , was subject to advance rates on eligible accounts receivable and inventories. Our term loan and revolver mature in September 2027. Accounting rules require asset-based debt agreements like our revolver to be classified as a current liability, despite its fiscal year 2028 maturity. Webco's stock repurchase program authorizes the purchase of our outstanding common stock in private or open market transactions. In September 2023 , the Company's Board of Directors refreshed the repurchase program with a new limit of up to $40 million and extended the program's expiration until July 31 , 2026. We purchased 2,850 shares of our stock during the first quarter of fiscal year 2025. Including the current fiscal year, Webco has purchased approximately 158,000 shares over the course of the last five fiscal years. The repurchase plan may be extended, suspended or discontinued at any time, without notice, at the Board's discretion. Webco's mission is to continuously build on our strengths as we create a vibrant company for the ages. We leverage our core values of trust and teamwork, continuously building strength, agility and innovation. We focus on practices that support our brand such that we are 100% engaged every day to build a forever kind of company for our Trusted Teammates, customers, business partners, investors and community. Pope to skip Notre Dame opening in Paris for Corsica visitCOLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Will Howard passed for two touchdowns and rushed for another, TreVeyon Henderson ran for a score and No. 2 Ohio State beat previously undefeated No. 5 Indiana 38-15 on Saturday. All Ohio State (10-1, 7-1 Big Ten, CFP No. 2) has to do now is beat Michigan at home next Saturday and it will earn a return to the Big Ten championship game for the first time since 2020 and get a rematch with No. 1 Oregon. The Ducks beat Ohio State 32-31 in a wild one back on Oct. 12. The Hoosiers (10-1, 7-1, No. 5 CFP) had their best chance to beat the Buckeyes for the first time since 1988 but were hurt by special teams mistakes and disrupted by an Ohio State defense that sacked quarterback Kurtis Rourke five times. “In life, all good things come to an end,” Indiana coach Curt Cignetti said. Late in the first half, Indiana punter James Evans fumbled a snap and was buried at his own 7-yardline with the Buckeyes taking over. That turned quickly into a 4-yard TD run by Henderson that gave the Buckeyes a 14-7 lead. Early in the second half, Caleb Downs fielded an Evans punt at the Ohio State 21, raced down the right sideline, cut to the middle and outran the coverage for a TD that put the Buckeyes up 21-7. It was the first time a Buckeye returned a punt for a touchdown since 2014. Howard finished 22 for 26 for 201 yards. Emeka Egbuka had seven catches for 80 yards and a TD. “Our guys just played with a chip today, and that’s the way you got to play the game of football,” Ohio State coach Ryan Day said. Indiana scored on its first possession of the game and its last, both short runs by Ty Son Lawson, who paced the Hoosiers with 79 rushing yards. Rourke was 8 for 18 for 68 yards. “We had communication errors, pass (protection), every time we dropped back to pass, something bad happened," Cignetti said. Indiana's 151 total yards was its lowest of the season. And it was the most points surrendered by the Hoosier's defense. Indiana: Its special season was blemished by the Buckeyes, who beat the Hoosiers for the 30th straight time. Indiana was eyeing its first conference crown since sharing one with two other teams in 1967. That won't happen now. “Ohio State deserved to win,” Cignetti said. “They had those (third quarter scores), and we just couldn’t respond.” Ohio State: Didn't waste the opportunities presented by the Hoosiers when they got sloppy. The Buckeyes led 14-7 at the break and took control in the second half. An offensive line patched together because of multiple injuries performed surprisingly well. “We know what was at stake," Day said. “We don't win this game, and we have no chance to go to Indianapolis and play in the Big Ten championship. And that's real. We've had that approach for the last few weeks now, more than that.” Some voters were obviously unsure of Indiana because it hadn't played a nationally ranked team before Ohio State. After this one, the Hoosiers will drop. Howard made history by completing 80% of his passes for the sixth time this season. No other Ohio State quarterback has done that. He completed his first 14 passes in a row and finished with a 85% completion rate. “I think Buckeye nation is now seeing, after 11 games, that this guy is a winner, he's tough, he cares about his teammates, he's a leader,” Day said. AP college football: https://apnews.com/hub/ap-top-25-college-football-poll and https://apnews.com/hub/college-footballThe BJP asserted its political supremacy over its opposition allies, particularly the Congress which emerged as the weakest political player in the Assembly elections and bypolls that concluded on Saturday. While the regional parties – the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Trinamool Congress in West Bengal – displayed a fighting spirit, the Congress seemed unable to match its national rival. Besides winning the prized Maharashtra battle, the BJP alone won 20 of the total 48 bypolls held in Assam, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Kerala, Karnataka, Meghalaya, Punjab, Sikkim and West Bengal. The Congress managed to win barely seven. But the most noteworthy fact was that the BJP entirely regained lost ground in the politically-critical Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, the two States which together send 128 MPs to the Lok Sabha and where the saffron party had suffered its worst losses in the general elections just five months back. In UP, the BJP with its ally Rashtriya Lok Dal, won seven of the total nine Assembly bypolls held alongside the Assembly polls. In Maharashtra, the BJP has put up its best performance ever since the Lok Sabha setback wherein the party came down from 23 seats in the 2019 elections to just nine seats in the 2024 general elections. Together with its allies, Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party, the BJP coalition had managed to win only 17 of the 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra in June. The Congress with its allies won 30 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra. If the Lok Sabha results were to be extrapolated in terms of Assembly segment-wise lead of parties in June, the BJP was ahead in 83 seats while the Congress was ahead in 63 seats. Till the results last came in on Saturday, the BJP was leading or had won in 133 seats in Maharashtra, which means that in less than five months since the Lok Sabha election results on June 4, the BJP managed to gain a staggering 50 Assembly segments in the State. The Congress, on the other hand, was leading or had won in 15 seats in Maharashtra – which means that the party managed to lose as many as 48 Assembly segments in the last five months. After its successive victories in Haryana and now Maharashtra Assembly polls, the BJP has proved that its losses in the Lok Sabha were a temporary setback. The saffron party’s loss in Jharkhand is more credit to the combative spirit of JMM’s leader Hemant Soren and his feisty spouse Kalpana rather than any credit to the Congress, which has been unable to build on the momentum it had acquired in the Lok Sabha polls.
